Edge of Reality™ is currently looking for talented individuals with a
passion for games to join our highly creative art department. ALL candidates
must have a well-developed raw artistic talent, a traditional art background,
and a shown proficiency with 3D-computer graphics development using any
one of, or combination of, the following packages: Photoshop, Painter,
Deep Paint3D, And at least ONE 3D graphics Package (Maya preferred).
Positions available:
Senior Environment Artist
REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to model, and texture 3D Environments to a HIGH level of quality.
Understanding of lighting concepts, and the ability to effectively Light environments.
Excellent environmental Concept art skills. Traditional Skills a MUST.
Excellent eye for color.
3 Years Minimum experience as a 3D Artist in Video games or related Industry.
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Graphic design / layout skills a plus.
Effectively produce game background Matt paintings.
Experience managing others.
Ability to effectively teach others.
Senior Environmental Concept Artist
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent environmental concept art skills. With an expert eye for perspective, color, lighting, and atmosphere and the ability to use these skills to properly portray the mood of the concept.
Ability to rapidly express the vision in both line art and color imagery that conveys mood, composition, and acting.
Excellent transition skills are a MUST.
Familiarity with 2D computer paint packages, such as Photoshop or Painter.
Effectively produce game background matt paintings.
3 years minimum experience as a 2D Artist in video games or a related industry.
PORTFOLIO SAMPLES THAT SHOW 2D ENVIRONMENT CONCEPT ABILITY IS REQUIRED.
Artist with Graphic design experience, to develop console HUD and Front-end designs for our titles.
REQUIREMENTS:
Expert-level skills in 2D graphics and layout design. With familiarity in FLASH, aftereffects, and other software used to prototype out front-end and HUD designs.
Familiarity with 3D software (MAYA preferred) to build and implement elements of the HUD / Front end.
3 years or more production experience with HUD and Front end design for video games, or related FLASH design experience.
Excellent attention to detail, self-initiative and follow-through.
Photoshop skills required.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Strong traditional art/animation skills.
Ability to quickly master proprietary tools and development processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal and organization skills. Strong work ethic, self-direction and artistic vision, dedication to the craft, and to the studio.
DEMO REEL THAT SHOWS FRONT-END / HUD WORK IS REQUIRED.
(Intern) Concept Artist
REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent art skills. With an expert eye for perspective, color, lighting, and atmosphere and the ability to use these skills to properly portray the mood of the concept
Familiarity with 2D computer paint packages, such as Photoshop or Painter.
Must be dependable, a quick learner, and able to follow directions.
Must be available for a minimum of 40 hours/week.
PORTFOLIO DEMONSTRATING 2D SKILLS IS REQUIRED.

Edge of Reality is currently looking for talented hard working programmers who want to be part of something great. We are working on our next generation engine which will be the basis for all our PS3 and Xbox 360 games.
He/She will work with other testers as directed by the Lead Tester for our internal testing department
He or she will assist the Project Manager where needed to keep the production team moving forward. This may include running errands and helping Project Team Leads
He or she will assist in maintaining positive team morale and a productive work environment
He or she will help facilitate team communication and ensure timely dissemination of information
He or she will ramp up on the localization pipeline and help to insure all localization deadlines are met
He or she will help monitor the bug databases throughout the project
He or she will be responsible for creating/managing tasks in various databases
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL SKILLS:
Previous testing or QA experience in the game development industry
Familiarity with games
An understanding of localization as it pertains to game development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must excel at working in a team environment
Very strong initiative, with a desire to learn and be challenged
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills; a good sense of humor is a plus
Must have demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Outlook are a plus
